Once again Chile won important international awards. The World Travel Awards is the organization that has recognised, rewarded and celebrated excellence in all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries since 1993, and is already recognized worldwide as the sector’s highest award.
For the ninth consecutive year, Chile was crowned the Best Adventure Tourism Destination in South America, beating Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Uruguay. This is an award that highlights the leadership of our country in the development of this activity, diverse in experiences and with a broad framework of formality and professionalism.
The World Travel Awards, known as the “Oscars of Tourism”, also distinguished our country, and for the sixth consecutive year, as the Best Romantic Tourism Destination in South America for the Atacama Desert, beating the candidates from Buenos Aires, Cartagena de Indies and the Fernando de Noronha archipelago in Brazil, among others.
